Over 1,500 Dogs Rescued and Adopted — and Counting!
Bichon Rescue Brigade (BRB) is a compassionate, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need of a second chance at life.
Originally founded to help Bichon Frise and Bichon mix dogs, BRB has grown and evolved over the years — and today, the rescue places a special focus on senior dogs and those with medical challenges or special needs. These dogs are often the most vulnerable and the most overlooked in shelters. BRB’s mission is to ensure they are not forgotten — providing each one with the medical care, dignity, and unconditional love they so deeply deserve.
Every dog that enters the program receives comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter services, and any necessary medical treatments. Because BRB operates through a devoted network of foster homes, every dog experiences the comfort, stability, and compassion of a loving environment while they heal — physically and emotionally. Foster families work closely with the organization to evaluate each dog’s personality, needs, and quirks, ensuring that every adoption is a perfect, lifelong match.
Beyond rescue and adoption, BRB is committed to advocating for the voiceless and educating the community about the responsibilities and rewards of pet ownership — especially the joy of opening one’s heart to a senior or special-needs dog.
Their mission is simple, yet deeply meaningful:
“What began as a mission to help Bichon Frise and Bichon mixes has grown into a passion for saving the most vulnerable— from seniors and those with medical and/or special needs to the occasional young healthy dog who’s simply out of time. We believe every dog deserves compassion, comfort, and a chance to be loved again.”
With the support of donors, volunteers, and compassionate animal lovers, Bichon Rescue Brigade continues to bring hope, healing, and second chances to dogs who need them most — one precious life at a time.
